Hengqin to hold Forum on Free Trade Zones in June

Hengqin will hold Forum on Free Trade Zones on June 19  in the Hengqin New Area, southern China's Zhuhai City.

The forum aims to promote the development of free trade zones in China. And representatives from 11 such zones will attend the forum.

Guests include Mr. Graham Mather, chairman of the World Free Zone Convention, James Zhan, director of Investment and Enterprise at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and Ana Hinojosa, director of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Compliance and Facilitation Directorate.

The two-day forum will hold dialogues in regards to policy research, international trade, economic guidelines, international logistics and financial capital in the development of free trade zones under the theme of "the development of China's free trade zones against the backdrop of economic globalization."

Moreover, the forum will also explore the communication and cooperation between free trade zones in China and such zones in other countries, and how Chinese enterprises can participate in the development of overseas free trade zones.
