The premiere of the documentary "The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge" was held in southern China's Zhuhai City on June 27, chinanews.com reports.

The documentary has two episodes each lasting for 50 minutes. It was co-produced by China Central Television (CCTV), Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Authority, Discovery Channel, Guangdong Radio & Television Station, and Zhuhai Radio & Television Station.

This documentary shows how the bridge was built from an international perspective and explores why it could become a key project in the 21st Century.

According to Director Yan Dong, the documentary is an experiment in introducing Chinese culture to the world.

The filming of the documentary started last February this year. The film crew travelled to countries like the U.S., Bangladesh and Brunei to explore the bridge's value and influence against the backdrop of the Belt and Road Initiative.
