Zhuhai Yinlong New Energy ranks 49th in China Unicorn list

The Torch Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology recently published the report "Development of China's Unicorn Enterprises in 2016" and the list of China's "unicorns" for the year.

Zhuhai Yinlong New Energy ranked 49th with a value of assessment of US$1.95 billion.

The term "unicorn" refers to young, unlisted companies with a market value of over US$1 billion, based on private funding sources.

According to the report, China had 131 unicorns in 2016, an 87 percent increase year-on-year. Their total market value exceeded US$487.6 billion.

Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hangzhou are the main cities that breed unicorns, with 65, 26, 12 and 12 respectively.

They are mainly technology-innovative companies, focusing on five domains – AI, big data, cloud computing, enterprise services and cyber security.

Zhuhai Yinlong New Energy is a large-scale high-tech company in the new energy sector. It is dedicated to building a closed loop system for research and development, manufacturing and marketing of lithium batteries, electric cars and the smart grid.
